ARTISTS STATEMENT -
Painting for me, is like having a conversation with someone. What happens in the work is a result, only of what happened prior to that. It is this back and forth motion that makes the painting interesting. The end result is a fixed moment in time of several ideas, emotions, and experiences that occurred during the time of execution of that piece. This distillation, at the end, is a small piece of myself: thoughts, ideas, anger, happiness, feelings, and emotions. They are all remembrances of things past.
